Incentives
Business and property owners in Reo Town benefit from having access to a number of incentives offered. Some are specific to Reo Town, such as our Façade Improvement Program. Others, like the Brownfield and Obsolete Properties programs, are administered through the Lansing Economic Development Corporation. By contacting our office, we can refer interested parties to the correct person.
Reo Town recently received additional funding for our Facade Improvement Grant Program from the Capital Region Community Foundation. Applications are currently being accepted for buildings along the South Washington and South Cedar commercial corridors. These are matching grants that must be used within the next year. Reo Town’s Façade Improvement program began in 2004 and has given out seven grants for completed projects to date. These include improvements to Izzo’s Pub, Popoff Meat Company, and the buildings at 106 Island Ave and 117 W.
